Juan Andrés Corrales Vela

Hello! I am an artist born in Peru, currently residing in Canada. I've been attracted to animation since I was very young, loving Disney and DreamWorks films. It inspired me to draw comics and create my own original characters. I went to UCAL University to major in the arts with their Communications program, and while I enjoyed my time and was able to get opportunities for editing and graphic design, I was never able to find the type of work I was really passionate about.

So I travelled to Canada to take Fanshawe College's Animation program, and there, I found the art I wanted to master: 3D Animation and Storyboarding. I fell in love with these forms of Animation, and dedicated myself fully to the 2-year program. Now I have the skills to work in a professional industry environment and am seeking opportunities that let me share my set of skills with groups of creatives.​

I continue to be a huge fan of animation, having greatly enjoyed shows such as Blue Eye Samurai, Primal, Pantheon, X-Men 97, and everything done by Flying Bark Studios. I am also a big fan of tokusatsu series such as Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, which I watch regularly. I love expressive and dynamic shows with strong characters
